Google Creative Director Alexander Chen demos Google Glass and creates some nice music, too.

Google Search App: Martin Van Buren (by Google)
I couldn’t stop laughing at this.

Google Adds Another Cool Tool to Search: The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon
To use it, type in the words ‘Bacon number’ (without quotes), followed by an actor or actresses name. Google will come back with how closely he/she has been to Kevin Bacon.
Google for president!

Nexus 7: Camping (by googlenexus)
Really cute ad from Google.
On a side note, The Little Prince should be required reading for every kid.
Thanks for sharing, Ben.

Google’s Play - because iTunes was already taken.
You bitches give yourself over to the Cloud now, okay? LOOK AT GOOGLE GETTING PLAYFUL. The Rube Goldberg vibe is working overtime in this series of spots promoting Google’s next thing to manage your so-called digital life: Play.* Do you really need an ad campaign reminding you about problems synching your digital life with those other guys? Maybe not. But while the iKiller strategy has generally backfired for brands like Microsoft, Google knows people are fed up with having only one choice when it comes to iContent distribution and management. Here’s to hope people, for it’s all we have.
Reblogging for the hilarious commentary.

Google’s Project Glass: Your Reality, Augmented.
If Project Glass works the way it does in the video, people might actually have to use Google+! But it’s not super clear it does things like check you in at locations without you making a vocal command. Then there’s this question of how it plays music. Is it synced to your phone?
WE’RE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH TECHNOLOGY ON OUR FACES! But I guess it’s cool if Google refines and socialises the software aspect of this because maybe afterward they can collabo with the AR contact lens people.
Finally got around to watching this. Invasive, but so cool.

New UK Google+ ad featuring Benedict Cumberbatch reading Shakespeare. A little maudlin, but still very pretty.
Proof that (A) technology is human (especially with the right copy and music), and (B) Cumberbatch’s voice is like butter sliding down hot toast.

Zeitgeist 2011: Year In Review (by Google)
For a technology company, Google is so human in their communications. They knock it out of the park every time. I hate it.

Watch Justin Bieber’s Sappy But Sweet Google Ad | Vulture
In comparison to the previous It Gets Better and Gaga spots, this one feels more like an overt advertisement. Promoting both Bieber and Google.
Though the ending is kind of great.
Awww. I am a bielieber. That sentence alone makes me want to be ironic and buy his t-shirt… and a mug.
Google’s campaign is on point.

Google “helvetica” right now

God, that’s just sinister.
