High ResolutionGorgeous redesign for American Airlines by designer Anna Kovecses. It’s unfortunate that no one there has any brains.

We know everyone and their mother has blogged it, but this Soggy Bottom Boys Sauvignon Blanc wine label is so perfectly fits our Who’s The Boss trend that we can’t resist doing the same. Way to tell us what to do Soggy Bottom Boys!
Show some respect.
Don’t let the grapes’ sacrifice be in vain!

Abe Burmeister: How I Built A Fashion Brand With No Experience, Just Punk Rock Spirit (And The Web) (by Piers Fawkes)
Loved this. Just watch for Burmeister’s beard and the most unpretentious half-tuck I’ve ever seen.

A Brand Is What You Do, Not Just What You Say - Death By Advertising
So please stop thinking of the brand as nothing more than a logo, tagline and PMS color swatches. A brand is the guide that will help you understand who your company really is. Find out who you are, then let this guide you toward being true to yourself and to your customers.

High Resolution3-Year-Old’s Complaint Letter Prompts Sainsbury’s To Rebrand Their Bread @PSFK
A nice reminder that companies have the capacity to be human (HUSH, MITT ROMNEY).

High ResolutionThe Brander just did a profile on hOmE, Brooklyn-based design and construction firm headed by brothers Evan and Oliver Haslegrave. Head over heels in love with their aesthetic (though not sure how comfortable subway-tile-lined seats are).
It’s authentic, it’s worn-in, and it’s beautiful. Some of their work:
Elsa (East Village)
Goat Town (East Village)

Against Nature (LES)

Manhattan Inn (Greenpoint)

Duckduck (Bushwick)

Fresh Impressions on Brandmarks (from my 5-year-old) (by AdamLaddVideos)
Absolutely adorable. Really (not) surprised at how specific and confident she was describing the Apple logo and “Cheetah. Cheetah. Cheetah.” made me laugh out loud at work.

Custom Inspector Stamp Production - Cranky Printery & Bindery
So clever and convenient. At $23 each, these are a cheap way to leave a lasting impression on someone. And you would be hard-pressed to be without your contact info.
(Get it, “lasting impression”? Because you have to impress the stamp and the person? “Hard-pressed”? I’m on fire!)
